Ethanol – Wholesale and Transport
Harms Oil Company has been a wholesaler and transporter of ethanol in the region for more than two decades. Beginning with the installation of ethanol loading racks in the 1980s, Harms Oil has continued to support the growth and long term success of the region’s ethanol industry. Harms Oil currently markets ethanol at 18 locations, including seven off-terminal blending racks.
Biodiesel Blending Year-round
Harms Oil Company, in partnership with the South Dakota Soybean Research and Promotion Council, the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association, and the US Department of Energy, has incorporated a new state-of-the-art biodiesel blending facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This important investment in alternative fuel infrastructure allows for year-round blending of biodiesel.
Council Bluffs Soy Blending Facility
Supporting distribution of renewable fuels is an ongoing focus of Harms Oil Company and several of its affiliates. To increase the ability to provide renewable fuel throughout its service area, Harms Oil recently partnered with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. With the assistance of the department’s Renewable Fuel Infrastructure Program, a biodiesel blending facility has been installed in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
